On January 28, 2020, the Manege Exhibition Hall will open its doors to a unique collection of art by Salvador Dali

Visitors will be able to see the most representative exhibition in Russia, consisting of more than 180 works full of the surrealist spirit of the artist, including canvases and watercolours, light landscapes and engravings for books. Soft Self-Portrait with Fried Bacon will be shown for the first time as well as many other paintings.
Everyone will be able to immerse themselves in a study of the development of the surrealist's talent from the first landscapes of the 1910s, a typical genre for impressionism, to abstract paintings of the depressing 1980s. The centre of the exhibition is, of course, the most fascinating stages of his art — surrealism (1930-1940s) and the ‘nuclear mysticism’ that followed it (1950s).
According to Vladimir Voronchenko (Chairman of the Executive Board of The Link of Times Cultural-Historical Foundation), there has never been such a large-scale collection of Dali's heritage in Russia.
Apart from paintings, there will be graphic works from a series of drawings of the 1930s and 1940s, beautiful illustrations for Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy (1959-63), and original engravings for the author's own book 50 Secrets of Magic Craftsmanship (1948).
The founders of the prestigious event are not only The Link of Times Foundation in collaboration with the Faberge Museum in St. Petersburg, but also the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation, located in the artist's hometown of Figueres (Catalonia), and Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid, Spain).
The exhibition will be open every day until March 25 from 10:00 to 20:45.
