According to some information, for architects the prototype of the façade was the Gothic cathedral of Westminster Abbey and the cupola reminds the Milano Duomo cathedral. In its shape the cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Holy Virgin Mary relates to neo-Gothic three-aisle cross-shaped pseudo-basilica. The central aisle houses two tiers of benches, which are separated by passageway. Near the entrance of each side aisle there are confessionals. The tiers of colonnades separate the lateral aisles from the central one. The arch windows with the sharp corners are decorated with the bright stained-glasses and on the walls there are bas-reliefs with the images Via Crucis. The transverse aisle in the architectural idea puts the building into a shape of cross, as a symbol of the Crucifixion of Jesus. The alter of the cathedral has a incrustation, made of dark-green marble. On the wall of the apse there is the nine-meter cross with three-meter figure of the Savior on it. At the basement of the cross there are sculptures from the plaster cast by S. Zakhlebin - the Mother of God and John the Apostle.

Five bells are located in the left lateral part of the façade. These bells were made in Poland in the Felczyński bell foundry. The biggest one has a weight approximately of 900 kilos and was named "Our Lady of Fátima", the other ones are named in honor of saints and patrons. The spires of the towers are decorated with crosses and heraldic attributes of Pope John Paul II and archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz.

The organ, which is set up in the cathedral, was created almost sixty years ago by the company "Kuhn" and was given as a present to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Holy Virgin Mary by the Basel Minster, Switzerland. The consecration of the new organ was at the same day as the first international festival of the Christian music "Music of the world cathedrals" in Moscow. Specially made construction of this organ enables to impeccably play the choral works of different epochs.
