Argentina festival in Moscow
16-08-2017
On August 19, in the Gorky Central Recreation and Leisure Park, the Museon will host The Argentina in Russia, the most interesting summer festival. For the whole day, the Moscow embankment will turn into a small copy of Argentina, with tango from Buenos Aires, llamas, cacti, and merry devils from the province of Jujuy.
In one place, real Argentina treasures will be together: music, dance, drinks, food, clothing, and jewellery. The main stagewill be for classes of percussion and rhythms from the Latin America and dance classes of the most popular Argentina dances.
Each fest guest will be able to dance his or her first rousing tango, chacarera folk dance, or cheerful karnavalito. Todos Huntos dance band will show their mixes of tango and Argentine folklore. The additional stage will be a place for classes of castejano (the Argentinian version of the Spanish), as well as workshops to make Indian accessories. There visitors will be able to learn more about the culture and history of Argentina, its music, dances, and legends.
From fine cuisine, organisers will offer asado (meat cooked following the traditional Argentine recipe), empanadas (baked pies with fillings), medlununas (croissants with the favourite Argentine dessert) and, of course, tastingsofmate, useful and tasty drink.
In the evening, dancing parties are in for us: milonga and live music fromArgentine duoTempus, and jazz Dixie Providance Band.
Time and place: Saturday, August 19, 11 to 23:00 in the Museon Art Park in Krymsky Val Street.
