Barcelona – the main «shop» of Europe
Barcelona was recognized as the «number one» in shopping tourism in Europe. According to the survey, which was carried out by the ESADE Company, tourists of Barcelona spend 34% of their budget on purchases. Moreover, exactly shopping is the aim of every third guest of Barcelona.
London follows the capital of Catalonia with 28%, then Paris (24%), Amsterdam (19%) and Rome (11%).
The most popular place for shopping in Barcelona is commercial center-outlet «La Roca Village», which attracts 57% of all tourists. Among Europeans, who visit this shopping Paradise, are German (22%), the French (13%), the English (12%) and Italian (12%).
It is also worth noting that the sales growth in the zones of free trade increased by 44%. Tourists of Spain spend 295 Euro on average in these places.
