CHRISTMAS MIRACLE-PLAY IN SAINT-PETERSBURG

The Russian Museum of Ethnography is inviting city residents and visitors to Saint Petersburg to the 15th International Festival of Nativity Theaters. Puppet theaters and folk art groups from Russia, Belarus, and the Baltic countries will take part in the event. Viewers will able to watch performances and plays produced by such theaters, as Domostroy, Grape, Svetloyar, Silver Hoof, Four Hands and many others. Subjects of Nativity plays will be, of course, related to Christmas.

The organizers has paid considerable attention to background music for the theatre event. Rossika Chamber Choir, Female Choir of Saint Petersburg Metropolia, and several choral studios will contribute to a wonderful atmosphere of a magic holiday at the museum halls. Besides, the festival visitors will see works made by the Saint Petersburg Puppetry Association and several children's schools of painting, visit a unique exposition prepared by Parasceve ethoclub and participate in workshops learning how to make a Christmas Angel and paint a festive gingerbread.
