A worthy competitor has appeared for the famous Red Arrow train. Now it is possible to reach St. Petersburg from Moscow and go back by the double-decker train named after prominent Soviet and Russian director Eldar Ryazanov. Carriage bodies in the wagonage were covered with scene images from the most popular films directed by Ryazanov. A new service will be soon introduced for train passengers. On the way, there will be screening of movies, made by people, after whom the cinema culture train was named.
The initiative is being implemented as part of the Russian Cinema Year. The Russian Railways with the participation of the Ministry of Culture was a project designer and mastermind.
Except the Eldar Ryazanov train, on the same route, you will be able to meet the trains named after screenwriter and director Michael Romm, cameraman Vadim Yusov, director Grigory Chukhray and other famous people. By the way, the first wagonage participating in the project is named after actor Michael Ulyanov. The comfortable and innovative train has been successfully running from Saint Petersburg to Adler. Totally, the Russian Railways and the Ministry of Culture are going to launch twelve high-speed double-decker cinema trains to Samara, Kazan, and other Russian cities.
