The fountain season starts in St. Petersburg on April 19

Residents and guests of St. Petersburg could already enjoy the fountains from Thursday, April 19. On this day, the northern capital of Russia opened the fountain season, says the press office of the state unitary enterprise “Water Service of St. Petersburg”. The first fountains to start working were in the Novo-Manezhny park on Manezhnaya Square and the “Ball” fountain on Nevsky Prospekt. These were launched at 11:00. The main fountain complexes of the city will start working on Victory Day – they will be launched from 10:00 to 23:00.

In total, St. Petersburg will have 52 working fountains and four fountain complexes in 2018.

One of the brightest and most anticipated spring events is the start of the season of the famous fountains in Peterhof. Each year, the organizers prepare a unique show with light, music and water, visited by thousands of tourists from all over the world. This year, the fountains of Peterhof will “wake up” on May 19.
