GUM department store will construct a Football Park on the Red Square

Football Park is a festival that will take place in all the World Cup 2018 host cities. Such parks have been already been opened in Nizhniy Novgorod, Kazan, and St. Petersburg. In Moscow, the Park will work from 21st of June to 15th of July. The project is non-commercial and access will be free.

“During the festival, professional coaches and football stars will carry out workshops,” said the representative of the organization committee. It will also have “theme days” of Russian regions and countries participating in the World Cup.

GUM department store won the competition to develop the concept and organization of the Park because it has had relevant experience. For 12 years in a row, the department store has opened an ice rink and Christmas fair on Red Square.
