Moscow half-marathon "Luzhniki"

The "Luzhniki" half-marathon is dedicated to the legendary Olympic complex and will be carried out along the embankments of the Moscow river. It is expected that seven thousand participants will participate and run past the building of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Crimean bridge, the spit of Bolotny Island, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, and the Kremlin walls.

According to tradition, together with the runners, athletes on handbikes and racing wheelchairs will participate in the half-marathon. The race will begin 10 minutes prior to the main starting time (at 09:00) and will take place on the same route. It will be possible to support runners at the start and finish areas and follow the results of participants on the website of the half-marathon.

Another interesting event will be held on the eve of the race: on Saturday at 20:00 a documentary about the Boston marathon will be shown and, for the first time in the history of the half-marathon, children's races of 400 and 800 meters will be held with separate starts for different ages. Each participant will receive gifts from partners and a medal.

The half-marathon will be held on August 26.
The events of the day are scheduled from 07:00 to 13:30.
