Mozart's ‘Requiem’ is a masterpiece, which to this day is covered with secrets and legends. Plunging into the history of the work, you can find out that the patron was a very mysterious person. The story got even more misterious because of the imminent death of the brilliant composer. It was his sudden departure from life that took the opportunity away from his admirers to hear the ending of his last masterpiece.
Despite the mysterious circumstances of its creation, as well as the mysterious last patron of the author, this patron had nothing to do with the other world. He was a confidant of Count Franz von Walsegg, known as an enterprising aristocrat, who commissioned music to authors and took all the credit for the work.
