Museums in Finland are going to launch Museum Pass

Museum Pass will appear in Finland in 2015. Purchasing of this card allows to visit almost all museums of the country without entrance fee all the year round.

The price of this Museum Pass, which is like credit card, will be 50 euro. At first, these cards will be available at the ticket offices of the museums and on the museum website of Finland. Later, they are supposed to be available in hotels, restaurants, stalls, etc.

There is an experience of using museum cards in several countries, such as the Netherlands and Switzerland. Annually more than 1 million cards are sold in both countries. In the Netherlands approximately one third of all museum visits are on the cards. Museum Union of Finland was inspired exactly by the Holland experience, the example for the future museum pass was Museumkaart, which allows to visit 400 museums all around the Netherlands, including 35 museums of Amsterdam.
