Sand Sculpture Festival will be held in St. Petersburg
05-06-2019
Many of us are attracted by the most mysterious and unknown things: civilizations that have disappeared from the face of the earth, incredible creatures, or planets that have not yet been touched by humans. This is why the Festival chose the "Lost Worlds" theme for 2019 – to satisfy the interest of humankind in everything unattainable.
Every year at the walls of the Peter and Paul fortress, artists present to the audience a variety of figures that are made of sand. It's worth noting that from year to year the methods of making sand figures are constantly becoming more complicated, and the sculptures are becoming more interesting.
The guests of the Festival will see the unique underwater kingdom of Poseidon, the unknown Atlantis, the legendary country of El Dorado, and even the whole world on the back of a huge turtle, as well as many other installations.
At the Festival, you will be able to see a large number of sculptures of dinosaurs, huge octopuses, medieval knights, samurai, representatives of the microcosm, which can only be seen through a microscope, and dozens of fairy-tale characters, such as dwarves (but huge).
The Festival is held from 25 May to 15 September 2019. The ticket price is only 390 rubles.
