St. Petersburg and Moscow entered the top 100 best cities in the world

Two of the largest cities of Russia, Moscow and St. Petersburg, which is considered to be the Northern capital of the country, entered the list of World's Best Cities in 2019. This list is formed according to the following main criteria:
- the state of the environment, both natural and urban;
- availability of tourist attractions and level of infrastructure development;
- level of business development;
- number of immigrants;
- level of development of art and gastronomy;
- availability of entertainment.
In addition, the evaluation of cities took into account the reviews people left on the Internet and the rating on the Internet, as well as the frequency of search requests.
The top ten World's Best Cities include: London (capital of the UK), Paris (capital of France), New York (USA), Tokyo (capital of Japan), Barcelona (Spain), Moscow (capital of Russia), Chicago (USA), Singapore (city-state), Dubai (city in the UAE) and San Francisco (USA). But the Northern capital of Russia ranked only the 54th.
Let us remember that at the end of 2018, a rating of the world's best museums was compiled, which included only the State Hermitage Museum among all the museums located in the territory of the Russian Federation.
