Finally, St. Petersburg residents and guests of the Russian cultural capital have seen the programme for the eve of everyone's favourite holiday — New Year's Day. The entertainment events look very interesting and vibrant.
The Ice Palace will open its doors to young children and hold a traditional New Year children's show. The ice show "Nutcracker" with the participation of Olympic athletes will definitely not leave anyone indifferent. In total, 24 festive shows are planned.
St. Petersburg will plunge into a festive mood from December 22, the day of the arrival of the beloved New Year's character Father Frost, who will bring joy to the city hospitals with his visits and, of course, gifts. In the evening, citizens and guests of the city will see Father Frost on Palace Square, where they'll be able to see an interesting programme for the whole family.
On New Year's Eve, Palace Square, Gostiny Dvor and the entire Malaya Konyushennaya Street will be the main areas of celebrations. Festivities on New Year will last from 23:00 of the old year until 4:00 am of the new year. All participants will be able to see tremendous fireworks, which will take place at 3:00 from the walls of the famous Peter and Paul Fortress.
