St. Petersburg will stop painting over graffiti masterpieces

The Legislative Assembly of the cityhas prepared a law bill on the legalization of street art on the facades of buildings. Deputies decided that graffiti can decorate our city, especially areas that are far from the centre. The bill obliges the government of St. Petersburg to develop special rules for graffiti on facades and a simplified form for their approval. The Committee on Urban Development and Architecture will be responsible for these issues.

The author of the bill is the head of the Committee on Legislation Denis Chetyrbok. The text of the law was preliminarily approved at a meeting of the Committee.
