5 thousand Santa Clauses will race in the centre of St. Petersburg

Everyone wearing a wizard costume will become a participants of the International Santa Claus Run. The mass race will be open by the All-Russian Ded Moroz (Russian Santa Claus) from Veliky Ustyug. The incredible event, which can be seen only once a year, will be held on December 22.

All necessary clothes, namely a hat, a coat, trousers, a belt, and a Santa Claus beard, a bib number with a name, and a gift from the organiser will be received by each participant. All of this will be given after registration and payment for participation, says the newspaper 'St. Petersburg Diary'.

Anyone can become a participant, from 4 to 80 years, regardless of the level of training and place of residence. Last year, 2500 New Year Wizards gathered at Palace Square, and this year twice as many Santa Clauses are expected.
