Russia entered the Top-10 of the most visited countries in the world

Russia took the tenth place among the world most visited countries in 2015 according to the rating of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).Last year, 31.6 million people visited our country, which is 6.2% more than in 2014. According to the UNWTO data France (86.3 million) takes the first place, then follows US (77.9 million), Spain (68.1 million), China (56.9 million) and Italy (50.8 million).

The Federal Tourism Agency notes that Russia has become more attractive to foreign tourists, thanks to modern infrastructure, improving of the services quality and active promotion of the country in the foreign markets. Russian tourist offices are opened in 8 countries around the world already and their quantity will grow. An important role also played the fall of the ruble exchange rate, which made travel to Russia more affordable for the citizens of other countries.

The largest increase showed the countries of Southeast Asia, China and Middle East.
