Russia and France started a bilateral Year of cultural tourism

According to the Russian Federation Ministry of Culture announcement the bilateral Year of cultural tourism in Russia and France started on April 5th. The ceremony was held in the historic interiors of Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and included a performance of one of the best orchestras in France - Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, headed by the chief conductor of the Bolshoi Theater Tugan Sokhiev.
This Year of cultural tourism aims to show and realize the fact that the cultures of the Russians and the French are very close to each other. During this year special tourist routes on various themes will be developed - architecture, military history, military victories, the French impact on the gastronomy and wine making. Also there will be elaborated the routes of the great travelers, covering the long history of relations between the two countries.
