Poklonnaya Hill (as ones call the park) is the popular place for mass walking and solemn events in honor of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Every year on the 9th of May thousands of people come here to bow before the heroes and thank war veterans for the life they gave to us.

The exposition of the museum of the War 1941-1945 is represented in three halls (Hall of Commanders, Hall of Glory and the Hall of Memory and Sorrow), six dioramas are dedicated to the greatest military operations of that times. The department "Book of Memory" consists the historical information about the military operations, articles about the work of the rear and list of names of people, who never came back from the war. Military and historical exposition "Road to Victory" collected a lot of exhibits, which tell about the war: armory, military equipment, rewards and decorations, news-reel and even letter from the front.

The big square of the park zone allows to enjoy the architectural monuments and constructions. On the territory there are churches of the different religions are opened. The open-air exhibition of the defense technology represents the history of development of the defense technology of the last century. Numerous asphalt roads became one of the best places among rollers.

The official opening, which was dedicated to the 50 anniversary of the Great Victory, was held on the 9th of May 1995. The key place of the memorial is the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War, which is considered to immortalize the memory of the courage of the heroes. The Victory Square is decorated with the obelisk of almost 142 meter height, on which you may see the pictures of the most memorial moments of that times - Battle of Stalingrad, Battle of Kursk and Belorussian Strategic Offensive Operation. On 100 meter height there is a sculptural composition of the goddess of victory Nike with cherubs. And by the foundation there is the symbol of victory - statue of Saint George, killing the snake with his sword. Near there is a church, consecrated in honor of Saint George and decorated with the bronze bas-reliefs by Z. Tsereteli. The central alley, which was named "Years of war", consists of five levels, symbolizing the years of war.
